Patrick O’Donovan said “I welcome the announcement by the Minister today, as it will further enhance the services that the Limerick Youth Service provides to young people in County Limerick. This funding will be used to appoint of a Mental Health Youth Worker, Counsellor and an Administrative Assistant.”

“It is important to ensure that young people in need of support are afforded every opportunity particularly at community level.  Mental Health intervention services like this are very beneficial for young people at an early stage.”

“From working with young people on a regular basis I know that this is a very important announcement today. I know that the Limerick Youth Service have put a lot of work into this project and I am committed to working with them and other youth organisations into the future.”
