Limerick Minister, Patrick O’Donovan TD has announced funding of €510,576 for Limerick being allocated under the Community Enhancement Programme (CEP).

The Community Enhancement Programme, which is funded by Minister Michael Ring, provides capital grants to community groups and is targeted towards enhancing facilities in communities. The CEP supports a range of investment in all areas of communities, such as childcare groups, playgrounds, recreational groups, sports grounds, landscaping, and supporting the elderly.

“As the local Minister I am delighted with this announcement which will see projects across Limerick benefit from this funding announcement.

“With 162 projects many communities across County Limerick will benefit from this funding, such as Newcastle West €19,992, Croom €13,739 and Ballyagran €12,807. This is yet a further example of the Government’s investment into our rural communities.

“As the Minister here in Limerick, I have worked with all of my Government colleagues to ensure the maximum amount of funding for Limerick under a variety of different headings, and I am delighted to say that working together with other Ministers I have been successful in delivering to the our constituency. It is my intention for 2019 to continue working as hard for our area to continue the funding stream for Limerick.
