O’Donovan welcomes lifting of Boil Water Notice in Loughill, Co Limerick following €300,000 investment by Irish Water.
Minister of State for Tourism & Sport and local Limerick TD, Patrick O’Donovan has welcomed the confirmation that he received from Irish Water today that the long-standing Boil Water Notice affecting a number of premises in Loughill, Co Limerick has now been lifted.

The lifting of the notice, on the advice of the Health Service Executive, follows the completion of work to connect the Loughill Public Water Supply to the Foynes Shannon Estuary supply and the subsequent recording of satisfactory monitoring results. Its removal means that there are no boil water notices currently in place in the county.
Following the confirmation the Minister said “I am delighted that Irish Water has confirmed to me that the Boil Water Notice in Loughill, which was put in April 2015, has now been lifted following the completion of the necessary works. These works will ensure a more reliable and better quality water supply for area into the future”.
